    Where is the nearest airport?

    The nearest airport is Hilo International Airport (ITO). Volcano is approximately 30 minutes from Hilo International Airport and car rentals are available onsite at the airport. Kona International Airport is approximately 2-1/2 hours from Volcano. Car rentals are also available at Kona International Airport.

    Note: We are offering round-trip transportation to and from Hilo International Airport. There will be one (1) pickup at the airport on Monday afternoon, March 6th. There will be one (1) drop-off at the airport on Friday morning, March 10th. The fee will be $50.

    Which dates should I plan to arrive/depart?

    Check-in is 3:30 p.m., so plan to arrive at the venue on Monday, March 6th, no earlier than 3:30 p.m. and no later than 5:30 p.m. Check-out is on Friday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m.

    What should I bring/wear?

    Attire is casual/comfortable, including aloha wear. The venue has Jacuzzi tubs for our use, so you may also want to bring a bathing suit and wrap. Daytime temperatures in Hawai’i are usually warm, but the weather can change quite quickly and the evenings are often cool. Keep in mind that we will be at a 4,000 ft. elevation and in a rainforest, so it can get a bit chilly at night. Make sure you bring a light jacket (such as a windbreaker) as we may experience light showers with little notice. You may want to bring a sweater, pashmina scarf or wrap and plan on dressing in layers so you can adapt to whatever Mother Nature brings us. You will also need a good pair of closed-toe tennis-, running- or hiking-shoes as we will be walking on uneven surfaces as we journey on the Big Island.

    Can you tell me more about the venue?

    Our Retreat venue is located in the town of Volcano on the lush tropical side of the Big Island of Hawai’i. The entire venue consists of two homes adjacent to, and mirror-images of, each other. Built by two brothers—one a master wood craftsman—for their families, they are truly works of art. Your retreat home features an open floor plan, large bedrooms, a full kitchen, large covered lanai (patio) and an outdoor hot tub for your enjoyment.

    Are meals included?

    We want to make sure you are well taken care of, so all of your meals are included. Meals will be prepared by our Personal Chef using the finest local ingredients. Fresh fruit and other snacks will be available 24/7. Feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy and share.

    What is the cancellation policy?
